Our experience at The Collective Genius Center has been positive. The one-on-one lessons offered by the teachers, when necessary, have been incredibly helpful, allowing for personalized support. As a first-year Mathematics major at the University of Pretoria, my degree (BSc Mathematics) certainly has its challenges. However, I must say that The Collective Genius (TCG) focused on fostering independent study which prepared me well for my first year.
TCG offers an environment of independent learning and academic freedom, where the tutors guide your learning without doing it for you. During my later years at the center, my classmates and I often found ourselves pushing ahead of the syllabus simply because we were eager to learn more quickly. This independent mindset became my biggest advantage at university, where self-driven learning is crucial.
